PalFish No Degree Required!

I recently learned about PalFish and thought it was just kind of wild how you teach from your mobile device like your phone or tablet. This is such a gift! Who doesn't have a phone?! A lot of people I know just don't have the funds to run out and drop $300 to buy a compatible PC that performs the way most ESL teaching platforms require.

That said, I'd like to tell you what the application process is like and what you need to complete your application and schedule your interview/demo class.

First download the PalFish app on the device you will use to teach. 

Here is the link to apply.

• Enter your phone number
• Fill out your personal information 
• Add your identification *** Passport OR I.D. and Birth Certificate 
• Enter work history
• Upload any teaching certifications/not required for Freetalk
• Add an audio introduction
• Write an introduction
• Read and record the audio book

One interesting thing...

You have to create a Payoneer account to even finish the application process. Their policy is that Payoneer is the only way they handle payments unless you bank in China.

This was the step that I honestly didn't know I wanted to complete. I have a PayPal account, why the hell can't you pay me by PayPal or direct deposit?

Well, I mulled it over and checked out some reviews on Payoneer and decided to just go for it. 

One neat thing about Payoneer is after you receive $1,000 to your account, you get a $25 credit!!

Oh, come on! Who doesn't love a little bonus?

Now, once you've completed all the bullet points above, you're all set. PalFish says they will get back to you in about three days but I heard back the same day.

I heard back within an hour of completing the application!

Choose a time to teach the demo class.

Now, they want you to schedule a demo lesson. As you can see above, you can pretty much choose any time you'd like. The demo can be done immediately, but I suggest scheduling a day out and practicing your heart out so you can be fully prepared.

Now if you've scheduled a demo time that you cannot make, no worries! You can easily reschedule by opening up the app and selecting  the 'Schedule' icon. Once you get to this message below, just tap the 'Click here to rebook' link and choose your new demo time.

Rebook your appointment if necessary.
